IT'S A GIRL! Kate has a daughter

The Duchess of Cambridge has given birth to a daughter. She was safely delivered of a princess at 08:34 and her little girl weighs 8lbs and 3oz. The official announcement came via Kensington Palace's Twitter account just after 11am.

The new baby, yet to be named, is fourth in line to the throne and will have the title of Her Royal Highness Princess ---- of Cambridge. She will retain her position in the line of succession even if she gets little brothers or sisters.
