The ancient royal chapel of St. George's at Windsor is to host its third wedding in twelve months. It's just been announced that Lady Gabriella Windsor, daughter of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, will marry there in 2019.
Lady Gabriella, currently fifty first in line to the throne, announced her engagement to Thomas Kingston earlier this year. The couple will say 'I do' in the spring of 2019 at St. George's before celebrating their wedding with a reception at Frogmore House.
It means that Gabriella will be the third bride to walk down the aisle of St. George's in twelve months following the weddings there of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in May 2018 and Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank in October 2018.
Gabriella is a great granddaughter of King George V. She was once spoken about as a potential bride for King Felipe VI of Spain, back in the day when everyone still had conversations about members of royal families marrying one another as if they were all pieces on a chessboard. The actual date of the wedding hasn't yet been announced but the news we're getting at least one royal wedding in 2019 is something to celebrate.
