Kate's wait is over. She has become the mother of a little boy. The official announcement was made on a warm summer's evening in July. Crowds are gathering at Buckingham Palace where the easel is in place with the happy news.
The Prince of Cambridge was born at 16.24 and weighed 8lbs and 6oz. Third in line to the throne but born to rule.
And a queen consort with a first born son - happy history in the making!
