Two women, one shared royal destiny

The time has almost come and history is about to be made. This time tomorrow, Victoria will be the second longest reigning monarch in British history and the record for the lengthiest reign will belong to her great, great granddaughter, Elizabeth II. They were both young women born not to rule but as princesses of royal houses which expected others to wear the crown. And yet Victoria then Elizabeth have made that crown their own and built a monarchy so strong it remains unshakeable. It is one thing to live long, it is another to live well and quite another to keep doing your job at top pace. Victoria, then Elizabeth, have achieved that.  The baton is about to be passed, a new royal legend is about to take shape. Victoria and Elizabeth, Elizabeth and Victoria. Two women, one crown and one shared royal destiny.
