If you can't have two wedding dresses when you're a royal bride then there's no hope for the rest of us. The Duchess of Sussex scored her second style hit of the day as she left Windsor Castle for her evening reception at Frogmore House in a full length gown by Stella McCartney.
The dress, described as a high neck lily white creation, featured a slim fit skirt with panels with lots of movement. We got a great glimpse of the outfit as Meghan walked from the castle to her waiting car with that handsome duke she'd just married on hand to help her into the vehicle.
I am so proud and honoured to have been chosen by the Duchess of Sussex to make her evening gown and represent British design. It has truly been one of the most humbling moments of my career. Stella McCartney shared more details of the dress online including the design video you can see above. She said that she was ''honoured to have been chosen by the Duchess of Sussex...and represent British design''. Stella McCartney added that ''it has truly been one of the most humbling moments of my career''.
The halter neck gown was worn by the bride for the second party to celebrate her marriage. The evening reception, hosted by the Prince of Wales, was held at Frogmore House on the Windsor estate and saw the new Duchess of Sussex give a speech, another first for a royal bride. And the dress takes its own place in royal history, another part of a wedding to remember.
