Diana film trailer released

How has Naomi Watts done as Diana, Princess of Wales?  The first trailer has just been released for the film about the princess which is due for release on September 20th 2013.  It focusses on the last years of Diana's life and her relationship with heart surgeon Hasnat Khan (Naveen Andrews) and Naomi Watts has already spoken of the challenges of playing the most famous woman in the world.

The princess is one of the most photographed people ever which means we all know what she looks like and in far more detail than many other people.  So that makes it harder for a total physical transformation to really convince.  The early shots show that Naomi Watts has come close but is hardly a double for the late princess.

The voice in this trailer is good and there seems to be a difference between how the princess speaks in private and in public - Diana found speeches hard and had a clipped manner when she delivered them.  But how her interpretation of the princess will measure up to the image that many have of Diana remains to be seen.
