Royals at Christmas: the 2015 Advent Calendar starts here

It's December already which means your Christmas countdown starts right here. Twenty four days to go until the biggie and that means just over three weeks to enjoy royal Christmas photos to get into the festive spirit. Every day between now and December 24th there will be a royal themed picture gallery filled with sparkle, snow and quite possibly Santa. And it all starts today with five famous royals enjoying the cold, the ice and a lot of snowflakes.



Princess Estelle shows that three year old queens in waiting are great at ski-ing, thanks very much.

Queen Mathilde looked equally festive on a snowy day out in Oslo when she and Philippe attended Harald V's 70th birthday celebrations.



And the Queen made sure she stood out against the snow when she took a wintry walk to church at Sandringham in July 2013. 

It might not have been a white Christmas that year, but we've got twenty four days to hope this time round.
