Burglars have raided part of the Windsor Castle estate, close to the home of the Prince and Princess of Wales. The couple, and their three children, were asleep at Adelaide Cottage when thieves breached the walls of the estate.
The incident, first reported by The Sun, took place on October 13th 2024. Burglars breached a perimeter wall and took a quad bike and a large car. They escaped by driving one of the vehicles through a fence. Police want to question two men in relation to the incident. So far, no one has been arrested.
The Windsor estate contains the homes of several royals. The Prince and Princess of Wales moved to Adelaide Cottage in 2022. They have police protection and it's understood there was no direct threat to them at any time. King Charles and Queen Camilla were not at Windsor Castle at the time.
