Dancing the jubilee night away

The king and queen of Sweden have ended the jubilee day as they started - smiling.  The couple danced in the palace with their fellow citizens and made sure everyone joined in the party to mark a reign that now spans 40 years.

Queen Silvia looks a little worried that the king might be about to get carried away and put both their backs out as they dance his jubilee away

 

Just the two of them - and several hundred spectators, all armed with cameras

 

 

There will be a fight over whose feet hurt the most for weeks after all that dancing
