February's Royal Birthdays

Stand by everyone, it's February, it's birthday time and that can mean only one thing - it's epic. There are so many to get through, you need to start on the cake now just to keep the energy levels up to make it all the way to the end. We've got a king, a Crown Princess and a queen in waiting all lining up to celebrate so get ready to party, royal style. It's going to be exhausting.

Estelle's day of destiny

There might just be a glimpse of Princess Estelle, future Queen of Sweden, later on today as her grandfather's jubilee celebrations reach their highpoint with dancing in the streets of Stockholm.  But today is already a special date for Estelle because it not only marks the day on which the crown of Sweden passed to her grandfather, it's the day her dad was born.  Prince Daniel, consort in waiting, arrived on the same date as King Carl XVI Gustaf's reign got under way.

Prince Daniel of Sweden turns forty today - his party might be a bit overshadowed by the father in law's jubilee celebrations

Two men, one day.  But a date that ultimately led to the arrival of future queen regnant, Estelle.  A date with destiny in it for a little princess.
