The prince doesn't just take a ride in the Spitfire - the iconic plane forever associated with the Battle of Britain. He enjoys flipping it upside down, performing a roll as part of his maiden trip in the craft. The flight took place last August and is being shared now to support his Spitfire Scholarship for wounded servicemen and women.

The release co-incides with the start of training for the first two Spitfire scholars, Alan Robinson and Nathan Forster, who over the next few months will learn to control the famous plane in time to take part in a fly past on September 15th 2015, the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain.

That day will also be Harry's 31st birthday and he will no doubt be watching proudly as his two scholars take to the skies to commemorate those who took part in the Battle of Britain. And the fact that he's hopped in a Spitfire and tried it out himself only adds to his reputation. He's the prince of hearts who just won a few more by hitting new heights.
