The Cambridges do casual on day five of their tour of New Zealand
The day began in Whenaupai where the royal couple met members of the Royal New Zealand Air Force and their families. The duke and duchess spent some time at the base there where Kate shared parenting experiences.

The royal pair then moved on to Auckland where they met members of the New Zealand America's Cup teams.

But while it might have started as a relaxing Friday, things then took a competitive turn as Kate and William took to opposing boats for two races across Auckland harbour. And after winning round one, there was no mercy shown by the Duchess of Cambridge. She sailed her husband into second place again - the duke joked he had been sabotaged.

The duchess sailed in her gap year so perhaps her win wasn't that surprising and the couple looked particularly close back on dry land after the race. They also tried out a Sealegs boat - an amphibious craft that can move on land as well - and were later presented with a mini version for Prince George.

The couple then did an impromptu walkabout at Hobsonville Marina as the day came to an end and then they boarded a plane back to Wellington after a very dress down Friday.
