Royal touchdown

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been spotted changing planes in Sydney for the last part of their flight to New Zealand.  The royal couple were filmed walking on to the aircraft that will take them to Wellington with Prince George in his mother's arms.

They have a three hour flight to Wellington before the tour proper starts. But already excitement is building with Australian TV cutting live to photos of the royals on the tarmac.

Prince George looked calm and well rested, his mum looked a bit more tired.  But daddy was on had with what looked like a toy kangaroo to keep the little king in waiting happy on the last part of their journey.  The tour has almost begun.
