Prince Harry in the spotlight

While his big brother and superstar sister-in-law are busy packing for their trip to New Zealand and Australia, Prince Harry has been enjoying the limelight.  Today he's at the Olympic Park in east London which opens to the public again tomorrow.  With him is the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, and the inevitable happened.  Both men are known for their fun loving, don't care how they look attitude and so within moments of their tour of the park starting, the most powerful man in London and the fourth in line to the throne were dancing on rope bridges and playing on the swings.

Prince Harry conquers all as he treks across a rope bridge at the Queen Elizabeth Park in Stratford ahead of it opening to the public

They were also seen on their bikes and generally joining in every silly activity they could find.  They had plenty of school children around to help but the biggest kids on show were Harry and Boris - an almost irresistible duo.

As Prince Harry famously represented the Queen at the closing ceremony of London 2012, it was appropriate he should be there to mark the re-opening of some of the amazing facilities built for the Olympics and which are now available for locals and visitors to use on a regular basis.  But Harry won't have much time to play on the swings in the next few months - as the prince enjoyed himself in east London, it was announced that he will undertake two major overseas tours in the coming months.  In May, Prince Harry will visit Italy to help mark the 70th anniversary of the Battle for Rome and Monte Cassino.  He'll also visit Estonia in the late spring.  And in June, the prince heads to South America where he will spend some time in Chile and then Brazil helping to build links between the countries and the UK.  But the football loving prince will also be in Brazil at just the right time for the World Cup - so maybe it's not all work and no play for Harry in the coming months.
