A less controversial royal baby break

While her cousins are taking a lot of flak for their decision to leave their baby at home while they take a week long break in the Maldives, Zara Phillips has been enjoying a far less controversial baby break of her own.  Mrs Tindall, with husband Mike, was at the first day of the Cheltenham Racing Festival to enjoy a few hours of her favourite hobby while little Mia stayed tucked up indoors.

She's only called home three times already - new mum Zara Phillips enjoys a day at the races with husband, Mike Tindall

The racing festival takes place not far from the Gatcombe Park estate belonging to the Princess Royal where the Tindall family currently live so the new parents didn't have far to go to get back to baby.  It's their first big day out without Mia since her birth in January 17th 2014.  Meanwhile, criticism of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge has been growing following their decision to have a second honeymoon and leave Prince George at home to be looked after by Kate's parents and the new nanny the couple have just taken on.  The couple are due back in a couple of days time to their first real media storm.  No such rows for Zara who headed back home after a few hours out and about in a very brief royal baby break.
