Kate stuns for US State Banquet

There's one word and that word is stunning. With just minutes to go until the US State Banquet, William and Kate did the royal version of 'get ready with me for' and the Princess of Wales won.

Let's get the tiara out of the way, first. It's the Queen Mary Lover's Knot tiara. It's very nice, great history and all that but please, can we have something new for Kate sometime soon. And by new, I mean epicly large. However, with THAT dress, it is forgiven.

The dress. Oh, the dress. Kate does slay in gold and she's gone for a pale version of the shade for this State Visit look. There is an off the shoulder gown in cream covered in a gold lace coat dress with high collar and long sleeves and it is, well, that word again, stunning. It's by Philippa Lepley and I can only say congratulations.

The Princess of Wales also wears the Family Order of Queen Elizabeth II and of Charles III as well as the Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order as well as its Star and Sash. And that's just another element of what makes this look so special. For this is royal. Yes, it's modern and daring and elegant but most of all, it's royal. And on a day when the Royal Family have put it all out there for the UK on a crucial State Visit, Kate just cemented it all by being, well, stunning.
