Queen Camilla shows off her tartan carpet as King Charles announces musical news

The Royal Family always went all in on the full Scottish feel at Balmoral and now Queen Camilla has confirmed that she's keeping with the regal programme. As King Charles announced some exciting musical news, his consort revealed a carpet that Queen Victoria would have liked very much, to the point of being amused perhaps.

For the carpet in question, going up one of the many stair cases in Balmoral, is tartan. Yes, that's right, even royals go all in with the interior decor and Queen Camilla has confirmed she is chatelaine of a Scottish castle decked out with tartan carpet.

The glimpse of blue and green (bright but still hard wearing) came as it was revealed King Charles had welcomed Classic FM into Balmoral to record a special programme. A delectable offering of classics will be on show in the show hosted by Alan Titchmarsh. It's called 'The Honours of Scotland'  features music from the Scottish Chamber Orchestra of which The King is patron. Charles III looked to be enjoying himself greatly in his front row seat.

His Majesty was, of course, in tartan. Her Majesty went for a favourite dress covered in red, white and blue flowers that is very reminiscent of her Coronation decorations. But then, when you've already got tartan carpet, you don't want to go over the top.
