The Duke of Kent and his children were surrounded by family as they said a final farewell to the Duchess of Kent.
The funeral took place at Westminster Cathedral on the afternoon of September 16 with the Duke leading mourners. Prince Edward, now 89, arrived with his immediate family just before The King was driven to the front of the Cathedral.
The Duke walked up the steps unaided then took the arm of his daughter, Lady Helen Taylor, as the family faced this saddest of days together.
The Royal Family was out in force with Princess Anne and Tim Laurence arriving just before the Duchess of Edinburgh.
One person who wasn't present was The Queen. Queen Camilla had to miss the funeral of the Duchess of Kent at the last minute after becoming ill. The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester were there as were Princess Margaret's children, the Earl of Snowdon and Lady Sarah Chatto. Following the service, there was a private burial at Frogmore.
