The Royal Christmas 2017: the Cambridge card

They wish you a Merry Christmas, they wish you a Merry Christmas....William, Kate and the kids have shared their 2017 festive card with us today. But if you were expecting snow, shuffle you off to Sweden. The Cambridges are keeping their cool in ice blue in a photo from earlier this year. If the Royal 2018 is all about baby number three, then the Cambridge Christmas 2017 is all about us four.

The card was released as Kensington Palace also announced that Princess Charlotte is starting nursery school in January. The fourth in line to the throne will be attending Willcocks in London, not far from her home at Kensington Palace. The school said it was ''delighted to be welcoming Charlotte to our nursery in January.'' Her school career will start just months before the family welcome their new addition, due in April 2018.

Kate and William shared their festive snap just hours after the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall popped their Crimbo card on Twitter. They've gone all summer on us too with a never before seen snap of them at Camilla's 70th birthday party at Highgrove in July. Which means our final hope of Windsor santa hats and snow comes from Harry and Meghan. It seems that this Christmas is all about sunshine for the Windsors.
