Princess Ines of Sweden to be christened on her mum and dad's wedding anniversary

It's a rather special wedding anniversary this year for one royal couple and for more than one reason. Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia are celebrating ten years of marriage and to really put the cherry on top of their anniversary cake, they are having their youngest child baptised on the same day.

Princess Ines Marie Lilian Silvia will be baptised on June 13 2025, exactly a decade after her parents said ''I do''. The little princess will be christened in Drottningholm Palace Chapel.

Ines is the fourth child and first daughter of Carl Philip and Sofia. Her big brothers - Alexander, 8, Gabriel, 7 and 4 year old Julian - will all be guests of honour at the special event. The little princess is also a ninth grandchild for King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden and, just to complete the countdown, she is also eighth in line to her country's throne.

Her baptism will come at a busy time for Sweden's royals who are always front and centre in June as their country marks its national day. The month also brings a whole cascade of wedding anniversaries with the King and Queen of Sweden celebrating on June 19, the same date as their eldest child, Crown Princess Victoria and her husband, Prince Daniel. Their youngest child, Princess Madeleine, married Chris O'Neill on June 8 2013. But the star of the show this year will be Princess Ines.
