Mauve like mama

It might have been her mum's name day but the star of the show was definitely a future queen with a very unusual name of her own. Crowds turned out in Stockholm to help Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden celebrate but all eyes were on her little girl, Estelle.

The toddler princess, now three years old, matched her mama to perfection. Both wore the same shade of striking regal purple although Estelle added an extra touch of spring brightness with a very white woolly hat to protect against the still chilly temperatures.

The two queens in waiting listened to several performances by the Music Corps including a rendition of Queen Victoria's march and an ABBA song, Does Your Mother Know, before going on a walkabout to receive flowers from some of the people who had come along to celebrate with the princesses.

Prince Daniel wasn't at the event which took place at the Royal Palace in Stockholm. Victoria's parents were on holiday ski-ing while her siblings also stayed behind palace doors to give full attention to the heiress to the throne.

But although it was Victoria's name day and the two royal ladies were in the same shade of mauve, there was only one star in town. Princess Estelle has done it again.
