Here comes the bride

Prince Amadeo of Belgium has married Lili Rosboch at a glittering ceremony in Rome.  The bride arrived at the Basilica of Santa Maria in Trastevere for her wedding on the arm of her father.

Just a few minutes earlier, her groom had arrived accompanied by his mother, Princess Astrid of Belgium, Archduchess of Austria Este.

The bride was accompanied by her attendants, including Princess Elisabeth of Belgium, Duchess of Brabant and her cousin, Princess Louise of Belgium.

Prince Amadeo's sister, Princess Laetitia Maria, was also a bridesmaid to her sister-in-law.  The bridal party wore white with dark green trim and accessories.  The bridesmaids didn't carry flowers but wore them in their hair instead.

Lili Rosboch was wearing a dress from Valentino and designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri and PierPaolo Piccioli.

The bride wore the Queen Elisabeth Diamond Bandeau Tiara to hold in place her veil.

King Philippe and Queen Mathilde arrived with their three other children, Gabriel, Emmanuel and Eleonore.  The queen was in Natan with an unusual leather hat that matched her clutch bag.

King Albert and Queen Paola joined them in the front row of the congregation while Prince Laurent, Princess Claire and Prince Aymeric and Prince Nicholas were also at the wedding.

Princess Beatrice was among the guests as was Guillaume of Luxembourg along with several members of the Royal Household of Liechtenstein.

The wedding was a private event although there was some TV footage of the bride's arrival.  Queen Paola could be seen in the front row taking photos on her mobile phone as the bride arrived and Prince Amadeo kissed his soon to be wife on both cheeks before bowing to kiss her hand.

The couple emerged to cheers and confetti before heading off to their reception and the official photos. One, showing the couple with King Philippe and Queen Mathilde, has already been released with more to come.  There is still plenty of celebrating left to do - here comes the bride.
