Princess Leonor and the Infanta Sofia of Spain on the day their father became king - pale blue and pale pink are the choices of heiresses across Europe right now
The outfits worn by Leonor, Princess of Asturias and her sister, Sofia, on the day of their father's accession to the throne of Spain won international attention. The dresses were in matching designs but constrasting colours - palest pink for Leonor and palest blue for Sofia. Just a few weeks later, the heiress to the throne of Belgium appeared on her country's national day wearing pastel blue. Elisabeth, Duchess of Brabant wore a blue coat with matching dress while little sister, Eleonore, was in pastel pink.

It all started back in April when the three daughters of King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima appeared on Kings' Day wearing pastel pink dresses with pale grey (almost blue) cardigans. And now it seems there's not an heiress in sight who hasn't gone for the colours and style. Even Europe's youngest royals are turning into trend setters.
