Social media stars
Prince William and Prince Harry made social media history this week when they became the first members of the House of Windsor to take part in a live web hangout on July 10th 2014. They were launching the Queen's Young Leader's Programme and posed for a selfie with Jamal Edwards as part of the day - posted later by the British Monarchy anad Clarence House Twitter accounts.
And there was a special set of photos on the Swedish Royal Family's Facebook page in the week when the reigning monarch and his two successors posed for photos at the zoo. King Carl XVI Gustaf, Crown Princess Victoria and Princess Estelle were seen at Skansen in Stockholm in photos taken earlier in the summer and published on July 7th 2014.
There was another debut on social media as the Twitter feed of the Spanish Royal Household shared a photo showing one of the first times the new monarchs had signed a visitor book as king and queen. The names of Felipe VI and Letizia with the 'R' denoting monarch after them were photographed in Lisbon on July 7th 2014.
Splashing around
Clarence House shared lots of photos on Instagram of Prince William joining in at a diving session as he took over as President of the British Sub-Aqua Club from his father, Prince Charles.
The Belgian royals stayed on the water's edge in photos published on the official Twitter account on July 12th 2014 showing King Philippe, Queen Mathilde and their children at the start of their holidays visiting a the Blankenberge Sea Life attraction.
And Queen Mathilde of the Belgians stayed on top of the water earlier in the week when she named a patrol ship 'Castor' on July 10th - as shown on the Belgian Monarchy Twitter feed.
Wheely exciting
The Tour de France got under way in Yorkshire on July 5th 2014 with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry cutting the ribbon to get the riders started - as shown on the British Monarchy Twitter feed.
The Tour reached Belgium on July 9th 2014 with King Philippe joining in and starring in a photo on the official Twitter feed.
Wedding belle
The newest royal in Europe starred in several photos on the Belgian Monarchy's official Twitter feed. Lili Rosboch became a princess on July 5th 2014 when she married Prince Amadeo of Belgium in Rome and the happy couple were shown celebrating after the ceremony.
