A Belgian royal wedding

Romance was clearly in the air for the Belgian royals yesterday because just 24 hours after Valentine's Day, the engagement of Prince Amadeo has been announced.  The eldest son of Princess Astrid, and the first grandchild of King Albert II and Queen Paola, is getting married to Elizabetta Maria Rosboch von Wolkenstein, usually known as Lili.

Prince Amadeo is currently sixth in line to the Belgian throne.  It's not yet known when the couple will marry bu they are understood to have been blessed by Pope Francis in Rome yesterday.  In a recent poll on the blog, Amadeo came second as the prince most likely to propose this year - he's beaten the winner, Carl Philip of Sweden, to the engagement ring shop but will he beat him to the altar?
