Royal smiles for an engagement

Prince Amadeo of Belgium and his fiancee, Lili Rosboch, have met the press after the announcement of their engagement at the weekend.  The love birds, who got the marriage ball rolling by being blessed by Pope Francis in Rome on the feast of St Valentine, were all smiles as they were joined by their families for a photo call and then a spot of lunch to keep the celebrations going.

All loved up - Amadeo and Lili make their first appearance as an engaged couple on February 16th 2014

Amadeo, who is sixth in line to the Belgian throne, was joined by several generations of his family.  And the photo call was a rare chance to see the children of the new king and queen of the Belgians as the heiress, Elisabeth, and her brothers and sister are usually quite low profile as they continue their education.

And while the couple looked shy and very sweet together, they did give us one of the loveliest engagement photos yet as they were joined by their very proud mothers on a big day for their little boy and girl.
