As the sun sets....

A day filled with emotion is now winding to an end in Normandy.  Seventy years ago today, as the June sun began to set on the beaches of northern France, young men who had watched it rise with hope lay dead while others thought themselves lucky they were only wounded and others still took a few brief minutes to rest before returning to the battlefields of Normandy. The world has remembered, seventy years on, but the most important memories are those kept in the hearts of the men and women who took part in D Day.  How could we ever forget them or tell them just how eternal our thanks really is.
