Trooping the Colour

Trooping the Colour is now underway on Horseguard's Parade with the Royal Family in attendance. The royals left Buckingham Palace just after 10.30 to attend the ceremony with the first carriage taking the Duchess of Cornwall, the Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry to the parade ground.

The Countess of Wessex and Princess Eugenie were in the next carriage with the Duke of York with the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh in the final carriage and the Prince of Wales, the Duke of Cambridge and the Princess Royal on horseback.

The ceremony is now taking place with the colour of the Nijmegen Company Grenadier Guards being trooped this year.  Later, the Royal Family will return to Buckingham Palace for a balcony appearance to end the event which marks the official birthday of the Queen.
