Queens in the pink

Three queens in Europe have been out and about in recent days and within twenty four hours of one another, each of these royal women chose to appear in pink.  Queen Maxima of the Netherlands made the boldest statement in a fuchsia dress with matching hatfor her arrival on a state visit to Poland.

There was also a contrasting raspberry pink shawl which the queen consort wore for engagements outside throughout the day.

The only regnant in the trio, Elizabeth II, chose a pale pink coat and hat for a garden party at Hillsborough Castle at the end of her full day of engagements in Northern Ireland.

And the newest queen of the three, consort of Spain Letizia, went for the palest version of pink for her appearance at the Prado gallery on the evening of June 23rd 2014 for her first solo appearance as a monarch.  And judging by her confidence during her engagement, Queen Letizia really is in the pink.
