Royals and romance. They go together likes horses and golden carriages. As Valentine's Day starts to wave its red rose, chocolate filled, champagne tinged happiness at us from afar, the royals of Europe are certainly in the mood for romance. There have been endless loved up looks around the continent as the big day approaches - here are 5 of the best to get you in the mood for Valentine's.

William and Kate were very cuddly at Heads Together event involving training for the London marathon at the weekend. We had fond gazes, longing looks and cuddles every thirty seconds. This pair are already well and truly in the Valentine's mood.

Prince Albert and Princess Charlene clearly started celebrating Valentine's Day almost a month early - on the feast of St Devote back in January they couldn't keep their eyes off one another. This look of love was during a balcony appearance - over two days of national celebrations in Monaco, this twosome were all about royal romance.

She seems to like him....Letizia comes over all heart shapes in eyes as she gazes at her husband during a major commemoration for Spain's most famous writer. There were dozens of people all around them but the Queen of Spain could only see King Felipe. Big aahs all round..

The smitten King of the Netherlands can't keep the smile from his face as he watches his wife at a New Year reception in Amsterdam in January. King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary at the start of February and their romance is stronger than ever if this loved up look is anything to go by.

It's those Cambridges again. On another night out in London this week, Kate and William looked like they only had eyes for one another. It was yet another loved up look for these two as they head towards Valentine's Day. Royal romance is well and truly in the air.
