In the end, she walked it. In the poll to find the best look of the royal week just gone, the Duchess of Cambridge stole the show and then some. With a huge chunk of votes, her rose gold Jenny Packham gown took the gold with ease.
Kate wore the dress for an evening event in Norfolk for her charity, EACH, and the sparkling success of the frock made sure this engagement got lots of attention for the organisation. The gown, with its sparkle and shimmer, looked even better than the first time she wore it - the updo really helped set this one off to perfection.
In second place, but a long, long way behind was Queen Maxima of The the Netherlands' peplum dress. The big print and bold shape has been seen before but it was just as good this time round.
The hippie chic white dress worn by Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway to a garden party in Trondheim to mark the Silver Jubilee of King Harald and Queen Sonja matched the flowers in her hair to perfection and landed her a third place spot in this run down.
Princess Claire of Luxembourg's bold stripe suit also ended up in the lowest spot but then when a rose gold gown that always glitters is on show, it was always going to be Kate's week.
In joint fourth place was a pair of trouser suits. Firstly, Queen Letizia's preppy white trousers and navy jacket which was on trend but ended up at the bottom of the pile.
