Estelle introduces Oscar to National Day, her way

This is how you do it, brother....Estelle shows Oscar the National Day ropes

She's made it her own in recent years but now Estelle is throwing open the doors of a family tradition. The second in line to the throne of Sweden is showing little brother, Oscar, just how modern royals do national day.  But while Oscar is making his debut in these now expected photos from the Swedish royals on their country's special celebration, it's still Estelle who's the star.

Since 2013, when she had just turned one, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel have shared a photo of their firstborn in national costume on June 6th. It's become a highlight of their royal year and a sure sign that the Swedish National Day celebrations are well and truly underway. Estelle in her traditional yellow and blue outfit means that festivities are about to start. And this year, Oscar gets a taste of this tradition with Estelle at his side in new photos from Erika Gerdemark which were also shared on Instagram and became a huge and instant hit.

The children now hand over the responsibility for celebrations to the adults of the family. Prince Carl Philip will be following tradition and throwing open the castle doors - last year he had wife, Princess Sofia, and baby son, Prince Alexander, at his side although they're not listed to attend this time round. Carl Philip will also be present at the Changing of the Guard at the Royal Palace. King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia are attending an event at Linne Park, Vaxjo while Victoria and Daniel will celebrate at Gorvalln, Jarfalla. The whole family, including Princess Madeleine and her husband, Chris O'Neill, will take part in evening events including a reception at the Royal Palace. And although we can expect more national dress from Sweden's royal women, it's Estelle who yet again provides the lasting image of National Day. This time round, with a little help from her baby brother.
