Letizia's State Visit Style Pointers: a queen keen on green

That royal style icon, Queen Letizia of Spain, is just days away from making a State Visit to the UK. Her trip, alongside husband King Felipe VI, will be a summer highlight and will no doubt lead to plenty of fashion analysis as this consort of chic brings her A game to London. Predicting the choices of an on trend royal wardrobe winner is always hard but the previous four State Visits made by Letizia during her time as Queen of Spain provide some pointers. We've already seen red with Leti so here's another burst of colour. Because when it comes to State Visits, this queen is rather keen on green....

The green theme began with a repeat outfit worn in Paris during her first ever State Visit as a queen consort. The fifties style shirt and skirt was a rewear we'd take any day of the week and it was one of three outfits packed into day one of the visit. Letizia chose this pale aqua skirt with blue and green flower applique for a very Parisian walk through the grounds of the Grand Palais after viewing an exhibition of work by Velazquez.

This queen got really keen on green for her next State Visit. For the official welcome to Mexico, Letizia chose a mid green dress with pale pink and green mix jacket in a pastel homage to the colours of her host's flag.

The State Visit to Japan ended with a very green moment as Letizia chose a traditional skirt suit for the traditional train trip packed in before the official farewell. This queen was so keen on green this time round she even matched her shoes to the outfit.

We've had one green evening look on a State Visit so far from Letizia and that was in Portugal where the gala event of day two saw her repeat a sparkling emerald cocktail dress. This was also a green shoe event while we got a hint of glitter in the earrings too.  It's been a constant on the four State Visits Letizia has made already so will we see some shoots of green in the UK in July? Only time will tell...

You can catch up with the other State Visit Style Pointers here....more to come on Saturday...
