As they celebrate 25 years as King and Queen of Norway, the party is well and truly under way for Harald and Sonja as they were joined by friends and family for a special dinner on the eve of their jubilee.
Their children, Crown Prince Haakon Magnus and Princess Martha Louise, along with their spouses, Crown Princess Mette-Marit and Ari Behn, joined them for the special meal held at Skaugum - the birthplace of King Harald. The next generation was also there Princess Ingrid Alexandra, Prince Sverre Magnus, Maud Behn, Leah Behn and Emma Behn all joined their grandparents for the celebration. Harald's sister, Princess Astrid, took pride of place in the front row.

The celebrations continue on January 17th, the actual anniversary of the accession of Harald V, when he and his queen will attend a church service, take part in the Winter Games being held outside the Royal Palace and then enjoy a gala evening to round off this special day. They have been joined by Queen Margrethe II of Denmark and King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden for their jubilee. And they were there as they celebrations got under way at Skaugum on the eve of the big day.
