The Royal 2015: eight amazing looks

I've saved the best til last. These are my absolute eight favourite fashion finds from the royals in 2015. There are some stunners, outfits that will live long in the memory. I hope you enjoy them and please join in the debate about who wore it best with your own suggestions!

Queen Maxima's fabulous frock for the opening of parliament in September is my favourite royal outfit of the year. It's a total dream of a dress made all the more beautiful by its unusual design and print. It's a stand out look from any year and is already a royal classic.

Princess Madeleine also pulled a surprise at the Nobel Awards in December. Her dove grey lace dress combined with the Aquamarine Kokoshnik tiara was straight out of a fairytale with a bit of a modern twist. Perfection.

The Duchess of Cambridge also pulled a shock evening gown look when she attended the premiere of the new James Bond film, Spectre, in London. We'd never seen Kate in such a daring or diaphanous dress and it was dynamite for the duchess. She looked sensational. More surprises like this please in 2016.

Princess Charlene had never looked happier than on the day her twins were christened and for the event she chose a Fifties style dress and hat that might never be bettered as a baptism outfit for mum. It had to be quite an outfit to detract from the massive smile on Charlene's face but this one managed it.

Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden brought her A game wardrobe to Lisbon for a two day visit and the highlight was the geometric print dress with blue shoes worn as the trip got underway. This is, for me, the best day dress worn by a royal in the whole of 2015. Just fantastic.

The sunshine yellow suit chosen by Queen Mathilde of the Belgians for the main event marking the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo is everything a royal two piece should be and one of the best outfits she has ever worn. The colour, shape and cut were perfect and the accessories worked like a dream. Royal power dressing at its finest.

The Countess of Wessex has looked stunning all year and at Royal Ascot this summer she really hit the heights. The best of her outfits was the grey tennis dress with a cracker of a hat. An absolute winner every time.

Queen Letizia picked a fairytale gown for the dinner held in honour of the President of Peru at the Royal Palace in Madrid in July. Everything about this was lovely and then some. Quite possibly Letizia's best evening look ever.
