Royal christening: the crowds
There's a small gathering of royal fans outside St James Palace, London this afternoon ahead of the christening of Prince George of Cambridge. The king in waiting is due to arrive there any time now for his baptism but there's little chance of catching a glimpse of George on his way in. Back in 1926, the then Duchess of York told her nanny to hold up baby Princess Elizabeth at the car window to let the crowds have a look while the chauffeur did a go slow through central London. Today, safety rules mean that George will have to stay in his car seat until the vehicle is fully stationary and the engine has been switched off. So we'll have to wait for Kate and William to let us have a look at the baby. But that hasn't stopped royal fans from around the world lining up, just in case.
