A snowy holiday for Philippe and Mathilde

We've already had plenty of ski-ing action from Europe's royals this winter with the Norwegian Royal Family taking the lead as they enjoyed winter games to mark King Harald and Queen Sonja's Silver Jubilee. But holiday season is upon us and Belgium's royals have shared some snowy snaps of themselves as they begin their winter break.

In fact, they went one further than the traditional photo call which has started off many a royal ski-ing holiday by posting a video of King Philippe, Queen Mathilde and their four children swooshing down a slope at the start of their winter break. Along with two images, it appeared on the official Belgian Royal Family Facebook page as the holiday got under way.

The two photos released show a happy group shot of Philippe and Mathilde's four children cuddling together in a picture perfect winter scene while the other is more of an action image with the King of the Belgians leading the way as his family get down to some ski-ing action.

With winter holiday season well and truly upon us we can expect a few more snowy photo calls in the days and weeks to come. Time to let it snow.
