Prince Harry with Winnie, a 97 year old resident of St Michael's in Lancashire, who he met while visiting areas recently affected by flooding
Prince Harry headed to Weeton Barracks to meet some of the soldiers involved in the clear up operation. But before he could get inside to say hello he was greeted by a crowd of local school children from Weeton Primary School where many of the soldiers' children go to class. And they were very excited to see their royal guest as their teacher had kept the big visit a big secret until just before Harry arrived.

There was also a chance to meet other residents hit by the floods which left hundreds of homes under water and businesses affected. He heard how people living in the area had coped and how they were rebuilding the communities hit by the storms and the deluges they brought with them. And among those he talked to was 97 year old Winifred Hodson who moved to St Micahel's when she was 14 and who has seen floods hit the area several times before.
