Mary in white on the eve of her anniversary

Crown Princess Mary of Denmark wowed in white on the eve of her twelfth wedding anniversary

Her wedding dress is about as famous as they come but with just hours to go until her wedding anniversary, Mary of Denmark was wearing white again and looking wonderful while she was at it. The Crown Princess accompanied her husband, Queen Margrethe II and Prince Henrik on a night out and stole the show in a dreamy dress.

The royals headed to their big night out by boat with Queen Margrethe and her husband arriving quayside to be greeted by their son and daughter in law before hopping, or stepping regally, into a boat for a journey to kick start an evening of celebrations marking the 150th anniversary of the Royal Danish Yacht Club.

And once they had made it to their destination we got a chance to see Mary's dress in all its glory. The assymetrical top with flower detail was lovely enough and that was before we got to the tiered skirt with its trio of flouces. And all in a dream of a cream colour that made summer start almost immediately.

The dress has been seen before but it suited the spring weather to absolute perfection. It was designed by Ole Yde for YDE, responsible for that rather lovely spring like gown worn to the birthday party of King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden two weeks ago (hat tip to @carolineofsyd for the spot)

It's a stand out look any day of the week but white on the eve of a wedding anniversary is an inspired choice and meant that twelve years on from the day she said 'I do', we are marvelling at Mary.
