George and Charlotte's Christmas debut

The last time we saw the Cambridges altogether was at the end of their Canada tour in October

Prince George and Princess Charlotte have made their first appearance at a Christmas Day church service but not at Sandringham. The future king took this important step while staying with his maternal grandparents for Christmas 2016.

The Cambridges attended Christmas Day service with Kate's parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, her sister Pippa and her brother, James.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge led the party into the church with William holding George's hand and Kate carrying Charlotte.

The Royal Family was attending service at Sandringham around the same time but the Queen wasn't present - she stayed indoors to help her recovery from a heavy cold which stopped her travelling to Norfolk initially.
