First Royal Christmas Card of the Year

The first royal Christmas card of the year has appeared. King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain will be sending out a missive with an image of their two daughters, Leonor and Sofia, on the front.

The card shows the girls hugging in a palace corridor somewhere and inside it is signed by them as well as their parents.

The card being sent by King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia has also been revealed. It is a traditional nativity scene.

Unlike Felipe and Letizia, there is no extra message inside this one, just a simple Christmas greeting and the signatures of the king and queen.

The royal cards are starting to fly out in the post - it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
