Royals at Christmas: December 15th, trimming the tree

December 14th saw the Duchess of Cornwall hold her annual tree decorating party at Clarence House where she was joined by children from Helen Douglas House to trim the tinsel and hang the holly. Camilla has been holding the event for 11 years now and this year gave us another idea of how this royal household likes to decorate its tree. To mark the day, here are five special royal Christmas decorations.

One of the baubles hanging on the Queen's Christmas tree this year, shared on the British Monarchy Instagram page

Clarence House shared an image of some of the decorations going on its tree today on its Twitter account

Back in 2013, the Queen hung this very regal bauble on a tree she helped decorate on a visit to the Barnado's Headquarters in east London

The Duchess of Cornwall was there too and had her own very regal looking decoration to leave behind

We didn't need a close up of any of the decorations Queen Margrethe put on her tree in 2014. We know she loves brightness and colour and her tree trimming didn't disappoint.
