To Zara, a daughter

The Queen has a third great granddaughter.  Zara Tindall gave birth to a little girl in Gloucestershire Royal Hospital on the morning of January 17th 2014.  Mummy and baby are doing just fine and the latest addition to the dynasty of Elizabeth II weighed in at 7lbs and 12oz.

The last photos of Zara before she became a mum - Mrs Tindall out and about last weekend

The baby is the third granddaughter for Princess Anne and means that Prince George is completely outnumbered when it comes to his own royal generation as Peter Phillips also has two little girls.  There's no word on a name for the newest royal baby or any indication as to whether Zara will return the honour and ask William and Kate to be godparents to her little girl - she is the only royal godparent to Prince George.  The House of Windsor owes its success to some very strong women and now has another to carry on the work.
