Queen Maxima rings in a victory in the poll to find best outfit of the week
In the end, she sailed away with it. Queen Maxima in black basket weave was the number one choice of the Royal Wardrobe poll for the week just gone.
Her sixties inspired dress took nearly half the votes in this week's poll. Maybe it was the swing of the skirt or the cut of the cap sleeves or the precious pearls that did it. Whatever the reason, more people loved this outfit than any other on the list.
Bringing up the rear was Queen Mathilde of the Belgians who went for a yellow dogtooth dress with a similar amount of Sixties swing as Maxima's but whose choice this time round wasn't as popular. The Queen of the Netherlands takes this one with ease.
There were joint runners up with Queen Rania of Jordan's black and white print chosen for the final day of her State Visit to Belgium one of them.
Crown Princess Mary's bright blue outfit for an event on the eve of the Women Deliver conference in Copenhagen tied for joint second.
The Duchess of Cambridge in her bright blue and black print skirt wasn't too far behind but that small margin saw her pushed into fourth place this time round.
