The Royal Wardrobe: style icons take the field

This week, the Royal Wardrobe gets serious. There were some stunning looks on show in the past seven days but the top five come from royal women who have all ruled as regal style icons on more than one occasion. They've all brought their A game to the table this week and now it's time to sit back and enjoy five fabulous outfits. And then pick a favourite - the poll is now open on the main page.

Charlene is back. After time out of the public eye to be with her twins (Jacques and Gabriella are now seventeen months old), Monaco's leading lady was in Los Angeles this week where she received a humanitarian award. She wore a white dress with textured skirt and sleeveless jacket which was simple, chic and stunning. Add in THAT pixie cut and bright red lipstick and you have a style statement and then some. But then this week is very stylish.

Crown Princess Mary of Denmark made it a Scandinavian hat trick when she wore a black H&M dress previously chosen by Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway, Presumably it's not the same frock being passed round in circles. Mary looked stunning in it and the addition of bright yellow shoes was a stroke of style genius.

Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden, meanwhile, left her version of the dress in her royal wardrobe and opted for a stunning white shift dress at a lunch in honour of President Michelle Bachelet of Chile in the middle of her three day State Visit. It's pretty, it's pastel, it's effortlessly perfect. Victoria looked glorious in this get up.

Her sister-in-law, Princess Sofia, was providing a style challenge of her own at the lunch on day one of the State Visit. Her white dress and fascinator was crisp and super stylish but what really made this look was the shoes. The bright pink Manolo Blahniks are a statement all on their own and we all got it. They are fabulous footwear any day of the week and then some and they put this outfit right up there with the best of the year so far.

Queen Letizia of Spain is really back on form. After last week's fabulous forties style dress. this week she kept it dark and meaningful with a navy two piece that did ruching, splits and shoulders all in one go and looked great while she was at it. The outfit, worn for an awards ceremony in Madrid, featured a fitted top (the ruching), no sleeves (the shoulders) and a flared skirt (the split). Add in classic shoes and it's yet more fabulous fashion from the Queen of Spain.

Five strong looks but which is your favourite - vote in the poll on the main page or add your own suggestions, it would be great to know your top royal style statement this week.
