Princess Claire's thank you

After three weeks with her husband in hospital, Princess Claire of Belgium has sent her thanks to all those who looked after Prince Laurent and enabled him to come home earlier this week. The princess has tweeted her appreciation and included a snap of her and her family showing five people very happy to be together again.

During his stay in St Luc's, the prince was put into a medically induced coma to help him recover from a bout of pneumonia.  And towards the end of his treatment, it was reported that there was friction between his parents, King Albert and Queen Paola, and his brother, King Philippe, after Paola released her own, unauthorised statement about Laurent's health.  But all of that seems miles away from the crowded selfie that a happy princess has shared with the world.  He may be a king's son and a king's brother but above all, Laurent is a husband and a father and his whole family looks thrilled to be reunited.
