Kate and William near the end of their tour

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have almost ended their royal tour of Australia and New Zealand and as their visit comes to an end, things are quietening down.  Their latest appearance was in Canberra where they visited the National Arboretum and planted a tree.

They met twins, Sebastian and Oliver, who helped them as they planted their tree.  Sebastian has Down's Syndrome and Oliver put his arm round him as the two used matching watering cans to help the royal couple as they made sure their oak tree was well settled in the ground.

A helping hand from their new friend - Oliver, Sebastian and Kate make sure the tree they've just planted has plenty of water

There was a chance for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to do another walkabout before they headed to a parliamentary reception where both Australian Prime Minister, Tony Abbott, and Prince William made speeches.

The couple's only formal evening engagement of their time in Australia followed when William and Kate attended a reception at the Governor General's House given in their honour.  The Duchess of Cambridge changed from hr green Catherine Walker day outfit into a white dress by American designer, Lela Rosa, for the event.
