Kate is in labour

Kensington Palace has just announced that the Duchess of Cambridge is in labour with her second child. The duchess was admitted to the Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital in Paddington at 6am in 'the early stages of labour'.

It is unlikely there will be further updates until the duchess gives birth. At that point Kensington Palace will tweet the news and it will also be placed on an easel outside Buckingham Palace.

HRH The Duchess of Cambridge was admitted at 06.00hrs to St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, London and is in the early stages of labour.
