A week of boats

Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway headed to the annual WWF conference in the week where she made a speech about the importance of green issues in everyday life. And during her time there she was photographed on board a boat with images shared on the official Norwegian Royal Facebook page.
Her daughter, Princess Ingrid, launched a boat for the first time in the week as did another future queen, Elisabeth of Belgium. And the Duchess of Brabant, as she is officially known, starred in several images on the official Royal Twitter account on her big day.

Here's to hats
The most famous hat of the week was surely worn by Princess Charlotte who emerged from hospital, ten hours after her birth, in the arms of her mother and sporting a now very famous cream knitted bonnet. An image of the newborn, with her parents, was shared on the Kensington Palace Instagram account.
Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands hopped across to Norway in the week to help Queen Sonja open an exhibition featuring works by Van Gogh and Munch. It will be in Oslo until September when it moves to Amsterdam. And the two royal ladies starred in a photo on the official Norwegian Royal Family Facebook page both wearing striking hats for the event.
Princess Estelle of Sweden starred in some new spring photos. One, shared on the Swedish Royal Family's Instagram account, showed her riding her bike in the grounds of the Haga Palace while very sensibly wearing a pink cycle helmet.
And King Juan Carlos of Spain was pictured in his white Navy cap as he attended an event celebrating his country's maritime past. A video was shared on the official You Tube channel of the Spanish Royal House, Casa Real TV.
