Princess Madeleine of Sweden is 34 today
What do you get a princess for her birthday? How about a new portrait for the royal photo album. As Princess Madeleine turns 34, the Swedish Royal Family have released a new image of her to mark the occasion.
The princess has been photographed by Anna-Lena Ahlstrom with the portrait taken on the day of Prince Oscar's christening, May 27th 2016, when Madeleine was godmother to the new third in linE to the throne.
Madeleine Therese Amelie Josephine, Duchess of Halsingland and Gastrikland, was born on June 10th 1982 at the Drottningholm Palace, the third child and second daughter of King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia.
She arrived nine days before her parents' sixth wedding anniversary and was christened on August 31st 1982.
Princess Madeleine, now sixth in line to the Swedish throne, is married to Chris O'Neill and has two children, Princess Leonore and Prince Nicolas.
